MOVE TO NEW HEADQUARTERS
Expanding Keighley signmaker Sign & Design has relocated to new headquarters in the town's South Street.

The company has invested £500,000 in the purchase of the premises the former Steptoe's pub - complete refurbishment of the building, addition of a new-build extension and installation of new sign-making equipment and technology. Sign & Design has moved from former 4,000sq ft premises in Heber Street, Keighley, to its new 7,000sq ft head office off Halifax Road.

Managing director Warren Rochford, of Oxenhope, who first became involved in the long-established business 25 years ago, said the lock, stock and barrel relocation had been prompted because of urgent expansion requirements.

He said: "As well as investing in digital technology in sign-making for design and print, we now have distinct in-house departments for design, manufacturing, painting and finishing, along with a separate undercover temperature-controlled area for vehicle livery work, a fast-growing area of our business. We also employ our own installation teams.

"The venture represents the single most important development in Sign & Design's history and will equip us to meet future growth potential across all market sectors. We currently have an eight-strong workforce and expect to create new jobs as our business further evolves in the future."

Sign & Design has experienced year-on-year growth across all markets, notably in the brewing, construction, retail, local authority, utility and education sectors.
